Meet Ralphy, the licensed therapy dog.
Yes, Ralphy’s certainly one of the most interesting members of the Welcome Homecare family. This four-legged friend is more than just a sweet companion. He’s actually a licensed, certified and insured Therapy Dog, trained by Therapy Dogs International.
When he’s not getting scratched behind the ears in our main office, Ralphy can be found in area senior facilities, children’s hospitals and in some of our patients’ homes. His job is to provide comfort, and he does it very well.
Ralphy is specially trained to stay in control at all times. People in wheelchairs and those who are bedridden light up when they see him coming. Even those with the most advanced stages of Alzheimer’s seem to glow when he’s around.
